Minneapolis officers reprimanded for misconduct in 2020 after George Floyd’s murder
Newly published discipline reports reveal that former police chiefs moved to terminate two officers for excessive force and suspended others for failing to uphold department policy.

Something that I wish more people understood about the uprising that started in my own damned neighborhood after the murder of George Floyd
(and I am saying this slowly, so please read slowly)
is that it was the Minneapolis police — very specifically the police — who turned the situation into a nightmarish war zone,
and this was a •conscious choice• on their part. They wanted Minneapolis to pay. “You discipline us, look what happens.”
